Mediterranean splendour and historical charm, clear blue seas and legendary hospitality........

So, if you’re looking for a destination that offers more than just a suntan, Malta is a great choice.

Malta’s name evokes enduring images of the Knights of St John and the George Cross, with over 7000 years of history; it’s easy to see why. From Neolithic remains to fortified walled cities, our small island boasts of a colourful and intriguing past and is often described as an open-air museum.

Set in the heart of the Mediterranean and strategic position it was the prize jewel of many an empire. From the Romans to the Byzantines, from the Arabs to the Normans, all the great powers have fought to preside over Malta and have played a part in forming our island’s rich and varied cultural heritage. History aside, we are also known for our breathtaking scenery; the colours are striking – honey-hued stone against the deepest Mediterranean blue and inspite of our small size, we can also offer a variety of settings; seaside resorts, inland towns, rural locations, etc, the varied coastline washed by a warm clear sea, makes it a paradise for every form of water sport.

Nearby Gozo, Malta's sister island, situated 6 kilometres northwest of Malta, access is via helicopter from Malta International Airport or by ferry, which runs regularly from Cirkewwa in Malta to Mgarr Harbour in Gozo, It is different in many ways, the pace of life is slower which gives a tranquil and peaceful feel away from the hustle and bustle of life. Gozo is a beautiful island with many hills, which are circular in shape but have flat tops, and are surrounded by fertile valleys which twist down to sheltered sandy bays. There are a series of charming fishing villages dotted around the coast. The island is similar to Malta for the simple reason that it is also steeped in history. For example situated in Xaghra are the Ggantija Temples, which is documented as the oldest free-standing structure in the world.   The capital, Victoria is the focal point on the island with the magnificent citadel, churches and amazing architecture throughout many of the medieval buildings. These are just some of the sights in Gozo that cannot be missed. In winter and spring, the Island is covered with flowering herbs and lush crops.  In summer, it’s awash with oleander, bougainvillea and geranium.  Underground caverns provide some superb dive sites and snorkelling in the crystal waters, none the less around the Blue Lagoon, just off Comino Shores.

Comino, lies between Malta and Gozo, famous for its Blue Lagoon, safe bathing in turquoise waters, a paradise for snorkelers, divers, windsurfers and walkers, carefree and car-free a favourite escape  and a fascinating excursion by boat.

We are committed in providing individual attention to each enquiry and we recognise the more discerning traveller may well have his/her own specific requirements.   Scuba diving, self drive itineraries, a stop on every island . . . all can be organised.  We also have contracts providing advantageous rates at many hotels, self catering apartments and farmhouses.  Therefore, we can tailor-make travel arrangements to your specific needs and we are always pleased to provide quotations for groups or individuals.
